To maintain and amplify Globe Scientific’s growth from the prior 36 years into the future,, their team came to DotcomWeavers in 2019 in need of a refined and customized online solution to support the changing needs of their customers, and their B2B interactions across various specialty markets which include Clinical, Hospital and Veterinary clients, just to name a few. Over the span of almost a decade of partnership, we guided Globe Scientific’s site through a successful eCommerce journey starting with an introductory Loaded Commerce site and expanding to a fully optimized Magento 2 site

With one of the broadest selections of laboratory products from any one source, Globe Scientific is committed to providing the very best to their customers. With almost 4000 items available for shipment and the capability to provide private and highly customized labeling, it was essential to accommodate their varying business needs on the frontend and the backend. Keeping the goals of our client and partner in mind, the online store was built with a complex catalog data structure that was completely reformed to meet the Magento 2 architecture as well as the client’s new needs. The online store is equipped with a unique data organization and the option to use filters throughout the customer search journey and user experience (UX).


Each Globe Scientific product has many variations such as different units of measurement (UOM) and colors, which requires them to be listed separately on the listing but grouped together on the details page. Because of this, it was important to the B2B and B2C experiences that we provide accurate, concise product details and simplified navigation. Less Clicks = Higher Conversion Rates.

In the way of dynamic imports and exports, the team at Globe Scientific regularly imports/updates their products via a comma-separated values (CSV) file. This format is different from the native Magento import/update structure. The standout feature of this site element is that our team built a custom interface to import products employing a format that is tailored specifically to the company’s needs.


Another important feature of the Globe Scientific site is the interactive media library found under ‘Downloads’ and the ‘Locate a Dealer’ capability. Businesses can take full advantage of readily accessible product literature, user guides, market brochures, data sheets, and more. The site also features a comprehensive and animated flip catalog which greatly enhances the shopping experience of B2B customers.
