As a major name in the HVAC, plumbing, and heating industry, Wallington needed an enhanced web presence. Their old website did not represent the position and quality of their brand, nor did its shopping cart support its increasing sales requirements. They asked DotcomWeavers to build a conversion-focused eCommerce website which would integrate with their legacy ERP and serve both B2B and B2C customers.
To achieve the functionality Wallington needed, we chose to rebuild the site from scratch with Magento 2.0. The flexibility and scalability of the platform was essential, as Wallington’s growth continues. We faced the interesting challenge of a bilateral website that had to cater to both B2B and B2C customers. To promote sales in both categories we developed a unique user experience that helped both groups feel at home and navigate the site according to their needs. The most intensive integrations we made to the Wallington website were the Eclipse ERP and Epicor payment processing system. Eclipse would help Wallington manage their inventory while simultaneously enabling users to better find the products they wanted. Epicor is an industry standard shopping cart and payment system that we adapted to Wallington’s unique format. With the launch of their new website, Wallington Plumbing and Heating Supply is ready for another 30 years of growth.
