INTRODUCTIONSelect-A-Vision (SAV) is an online and brick-and-mortar retailer that sells high-quality reading glasses, sunglasses, and computer glasses that come in variety of functional and beautiful frames.
As Select-A-Vision’s growth required that they establish a larger online presence, and their old website could not support the business requirements and customer functionality required. They asked DotcomWeavers to help them build a user-driven, scalable eCommerce solution that would support increased conversions and future growth.
We chose Magento as the eCommerce platform for Select-A-Vision because of its power, flexibility, and customization features. The SAV project began with a total redesign of the website, from the look and feel of the brand to the core site architecture. We structured the site for a seamless shopping experience that would also be friendly to search engines. Several of the key integrations include a robust search tool, powerful shipping options, order tracking capabilities, and a unique B2B application engine to support their brick-and-mortar sales. However, the most powerful feature of the new SAV website was the custom Try-On tool we built from scratch. This web application allows users to take a picture of their face, select from SAV’s stock of frames, and get a snapshot of what the frames look like on their face. They can also compare multiple frames, share their images to social media, and get a feel for their purchase before it ever arrives. The Select-A-Vision website is a seamless combination of user experience and eCommerce power, which provides a springboard for unlimited growth in the industry.
