As Cake & Craft’s business took off, they faced the double-problem of an increasingly demanding customer base, as well as an outdated eCommerce bakery supply website. They approached DotcomWeavers to provide them with a single digital solution that would scale with their growth and increase their impact within the market.
Based on the number of products in Cake & Craft’s inventory, we determined that a platform migration to Magento 2.0 was required to support their current and future sales volumes. From there, we dove into our discovery phase to learn everything about their industry. This knowledge of customer behavior and B2B expectations inspired our design and website architecture. We then combined the product data, categories and individual pages in a powerful search feature that would help users discover what they wanted quickly and easily. Other key integrations include an order fulfillment engine, a customer retention application, robust shopping cart, and user-friendly backend management structure. With everything in place, we also embarked on an ambitious content marketing strategy that would leverage the value of the website and brand across social media and paid and organic search.
