LBCLighting’s mission was to provide the widest range of contemporary lighting products to its home and business customers that fit their needs and budget requirements. It launched two portals lbclighting.com and lbccommercial.com both of which were setup with Dotcomweavers.

Solution Framework:

The selected platform for both the stores was Miva Merchant primarily as it was already being used by the client and they were comfortable with it’s features. However, the requirements included a lot of additional features which were not available on a standard Miva Merchant platform. Dotcomweavers instead of adding a new learning curve for their web management team, used it’s expert Miva team to customize the standard Miva install to add new features and functions to the store. A complete external interface was built to the store, which allowed extremely easy information management on the store. Lbccommercial.com specifically required a “Build a Lighting Project” interface where contractors could build their entire lighting project online by adding the various products in relevant quantities to their project and then ordering the whole project as one order. Dotcomweavers integrated over 10 3rd party Miva Modules and added several non modular customizations to Miva using PHP/MySQL platform.

Equipped with over 20 years of experience in the lighting business from home lighting to commercial lighting, today lbclighting.com offers its customers the easiest and most convenient way to purchase contemporary lighting, traditional lighting, commercial lighting, energy-saving lighting & organic modern light fixtures for home, office or commercial area. After it’s re-launch with Dotcomweavers, lbclighting.com has made sales of over a million dollars in the last couple of years.
