Shinnecock Hardware’s mission was to sell its entire range of over 80,000 Ace Hardware SKUs online. Ace Hardware is one of the largest Hardware Stores in US. Although a lot Ace Hardware Retailers had built their online stores, only a handful could actually find a way to automatically maintain the large inventory of Ace Hardware online. Acetogo wanted to ensure zero maintenance on the website in terms of updating product data and at the same time provide a smooth and easy ordering experience to it’s customers.

Solution Framework:

The prime objective was to ensure that the entire inventory synchronization was automated. Dotcomweavers built a robust product database and devised a mechanism that would automatically synchronize the product database so that it was always updated with the latest products. Having met that objective, getting an ecommerce store in place was a cakewalk. UPS Shipping API and Authorize.NET and Google Checkout were integrated for payment. A strong store management system allows Acetogo to view and manage its latest orders.

Results:

Today, Shinnecock Hardware sells over 80,000 SKUs online, thereby enabling hundreds of customers to buy its complete range of products from about hundreds of different categories. Ever since its launch in May 2008 the site has been seeing a montly increase in sales and growing customer base.
