It’s hard to believe that in 2011, there are still internet ads that link to landing pages that are just terrible. It’s really important to make sure you have a landing page that is converting customers. If you spent the time, effort and money in web marketing, then it only makes sense to include making quality landing pages as a task. You’ve worked so hard to get traffic on your website, convincing people to click through on your ads or otherwise. It would be a shame if it all went to waste. (more…)

Merchant Circle: For businesses or consumers?

For a few years now, people have been buzzing about Merchant Circle. On the surface, it acts as a listing for local businesses, which is great for that that have yet to do any web marketing or make a website. The business can make a profile on the networking site and know that their listing will show up higher in Google, than say a brand new domain that has not been advertised via web marketing. For consumers, it offers a place to make reviews for other potential customers to view. It also offers consumers a way to find local businesses online, which I assume, is the main point. However, as we all know, assumptions do not always pan out to be correct.  It seems my assumption is like many others, and it turns out we may all be wrong. (more…)

Honesty in Marketing: The (not so) New Rule

Since the prevalence of consumer reviews on the Internet, there has been one major web marketing rule that must be followed for a company brand to have staying power: do not lie. Do not lie to your consumers directly. Do not lie to your consumers indirectly. Do not tell half-truths. Do not hand out misinformation about anything. The Art of Contact Forms

Getting just the right layout for a contact form is crucial. When people arrive at your ‘Contact Us’ page or your ‘Submit’ page or even your ‘Free Quote’ page, it is essential that they feel comfortable filling out the fields.  There are a number of design tips that web designers live and die by, in order to make this happen. However, first things first: you need to select the basis of your layout.

HTML Contact Form

It’s simple, to the point and easy to change. A contact form based in HTML is the usual way to go for more websites that work off of lead generation.
